Young Life is all about young people. However parents, teachers and other adults in our community are a vital component in making Young Life effective. Adults can be involved or support Young Life in a variety of ways - by becoming a volunteer leader or committee member, by attending a Young Life fund-raising event &/or financially supporting, by praying for our work, by hosting Young Life Clubs or by simply telling others in the community about Young Life and its commitment & work with young people. Keeping Kids Safe: An important part of our committment to young people is how we keep kids safe. Our staff and volunteer leaders know they are responsible for modeling lives of hope and integrity. Young Life's Human Resources department has developed organization-wide policies and procedures to ensure that youth are protected when they are with Young Life staff and/or leaders as well as when kids are part of Young Life sponsored activities. For safety and medical reasons, Young Life’s Indemnity Form is required to be filled out by parents/guardians for all young people involved with Young Life outside of school hours such as at club nights or camps. These forms are available from the YL office. Interested Community Groups: Any enquiries from parents, schools, councils, churches, businesses or any other community groups are most welcome and can be directed to our Area Director at the YL office. Maroondah Young Life seeks to build partnerships with as many individuals, churches, schools & businesses as possible in order to connect with the 20,000 youth of our area.
