Covid causes a change to Young Life’s NSW/ACT Camp at Lake Burrendong

Thu Jan 7, 2021 – Campers from Greater Sydney will be unable to attend Young Life’s NSW/ACT Camp at Lake Burrendong in Central West NSW to be held from January 18-22, 2021. But the Camp will go ahead for regional NSW and those from the ACT.

Young Life Australia’s Operations Manager, Mark Stretton, said it was a difficult and disappointing decision but one that was consistent with NSW Health advice and recommendations.

“As you know, the COVID 19 situation in the Greater Sydney region is changing every day. We have been watching and waiting to see how this develops,” said Mark.

“Sadly, due to the latest recommendations for Greater Sydney residents we are unable to allow Sydney campers, volunteers and staff to travel to the Central West region of NSW and mingle with our other campers and volunteers from regional NSW and the ACT region.”

The Camp is to go ahead as planned for campers from regional NSW and the ACT.

“To our Greater Sydney campers we apologise for any inconvenience but we felt the need to make this decision with everyone’s health and wellbeing in mind.”

Young Life Australia will be providing full refunds to those Greater Sydney campers and volunteers who have already paid and ask that you give us three weeks to process the transactions.
