Who is Converge

Converge Oceania is a relational network, currently comprised of representatives of key ministry organisations and denominations with a vision to support and equip the church in Australia & New Zealand to continue to reach and disciple young people. We do this through prayerfully and practically supporting each other’s ministries, as well as working on joint projects that will support and equip the church to more effectively understand and engage young people. Converge Oceania is a part of the global Converge movement, which sits within the World Evangelical Alliance.

 

The Converge YourStory Partner Gathering is an early-access opportunity to explore what we have found from the first-cut of the survey data with Graham Stanton and Rowan Lewis. Together we will examine the high-level observations we are able to make of the data, which often provides unique initial insights and shapes the focus of subsequent rounds of analysis. We are keen for partners to consider the implications of these early findings for their organisations and actively contribute to the focus of the next stage of this exciting project.

There will be ample opportunities for questions and conversations, and Converge will cover catering and venue hire costs for the day. Partners will fund their own travel and accommodation if staying overnight in Melbourne.

10-11am: Mapping the Terrain: Where are we up to, where have we been and where are we going?
      Morning Tea
11:30-1pm: Initial Observations: Identifying Spiritual Typologies and Influencing Factors
      Lunch
1:45-2:45pm: Workshopping the Findings: Break-out groups to take a deep dive on findings relevant to your organisation.
      Quick Break
3:00-3:30: The Road Ahead: Gathering insights from break out groups and identifying research priorities.
