National Prayer Day – August 21
This year, on Wednesday, 21 August 2019, Young Life Australia is inviting people to join us in a day of prayer for the young people in our communities.
Being the first time something like this has been done, our aim is to keep it simple (and flexible) so as many people can join in as possible.
We’re inviting you to gather and pray for the young people you know and love, for the work Young Life Australia is doing in communities like yours across Australia, and indeed for the youth work carried out by churches, our school communities and everyone involved in leading and influencing the lives of young people.
You can choose to:
- Pray in your church small groups.
- Gather over coffee or arrange a morning/afternoon tea or supper and pray.
- Pray in pairs or pray in multitudes.
- Pray in any way you are available to do so.
And, if Wednesday doesn’t work, pick another time during the week that works for you and your community.
“For where two or three are gathered, I am there in their midst”
We are eagerly waiting to see how God answers prayers through the coming together of His people.
This page will be where we update you on gatherings to be held in Young Life Areas and other groups who will be joining us in prayer.
Please fill in the contact form if you would like to receive material and prayer points to use and share. If you have any questions please email Claire Wood at email@example.com or call Young Life Australia’s national office on 1300 557 647.
