Young Life Australia College will be running three excellent short courses in February 2018 to equip you for working with young people. People from other vocations are very welcome to join.
Youth Mental Health First Aid
Youth Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis (e.g. the person is suicidal or had a traumatic experience). Like physical first aid, mental health first aid is given until the person receives professional help or until the crisis resolves. Teaching delivered by Heather Gant – Regional Manager Central West.

Young Life 101
This intensive course will give you the necessary tools and understanding to undertake effective relational ministry with young people. Starting from a scriptural vantage point, this course is practical and adaptable to your ministry. It is designed for volunteer leaders, new staff and youth leaders from any context with a heart for outreach. Teaching delivered by Glyn Henman (Young Life Australia CEO) & Brendan Hatte (Regional Manager New England).

Time: 2pm Friday – 2pm Sunday
